Dulquer faces action over biryani rice brand complaint
The Free Press Journal - Indore
|November 06, 2025
A complaint regarding food poisoning allegedly caused by biryani rice has led to legal action against the brand's owner and its ambassador, actor Dulquer Salmaan.
The Pathanamthitta District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has issued a notice to both the brand's owner and Salmaan, directing them to appear before the commission in response to the accusation.
The complaint, lodged by a consumer who claims to have fallen ill after consuming the product, has raised serious concerns about the quality and safety of the food item. The complainant asserts that the biryani rice, which had been marketed as safe and high-quality, was the cause of food poisoning, resulting in significant health issues.
