Canteen sealed after rodent found in sambar

Students at a college canteen in Tirukoilur, Kallakurichi district, were left aghast when a rodent surfaced in the sambar served at lunchtime, triggering swift action by food safety authorities.
The Food Safety Department imposed a penalty of ₹5,000 on the canteen owner and ordered the premises to be sealed.
