ACB busts Aadhar bribe racket, three arrested

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has cracked down on an alleged bribery racket operating at a civic centre in Ahmedabad’s Rakhial area, arresting three individuals for demanding and accepting money to illegally facilitate the issuance of an Aadhaar card.

According to ACB officials, the case came to light after a 36-year-old applicant approached the bureau with a complaint. The man had visited the civic centre to apply for an Aadhaar card, which he urgently required to secure a loan. However, he did not possess a birth certificate, a document made mandatory under revised Aadhaar
