The growth in demand for EVs will fuel the demand for EV manufacturing units involved in battery making, electric drivetrains, and body assembly. The PME-Drive scheme, supported by financially rewarding incentives and subsidies, will also help raise EV sales nationally. With this progressive scheme, government has allocated an expenditure of INR 3,679 crores to support electric two-and-three wheelers. It will definitely have a positive impact on manufacturing, logistics, and distribution-related employment opportunities.
