Video shows hostages pleading for their lives, kidnappers demand ransom
Two men from Punjab and Haryana on their way to USA via Dunkey Route have been kidnapped in Guatemala, prompting their families to seek urgent intervention from the Indian government.
The matter came to light when a video of the victims went viral on social media as one of the victims, Yuvraj Singh from Mohna village in Kaithal district of Haryana, had planned his journey through an agent.
Even his family had reportedly agreed to pay Rs41 lakh to reach USA illegally, making an initial payment of Rs 2 lakh.
