Trade, Security Top Agenda at 25th SCO Summit

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit opened in Tianjin on Sunday with a flurry of high-level bilateral and a clear emphasis on trade resilience, security cooperation and digital infrastructure.
Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with both sides focusing on stabilising ties and expanding economic cooperation, according to NewsX World's Sr. Executive Editor Megha Sharma, reporting live from the summit.
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also met Xi, pitching "new cooperation highlights" in areas such as new energy, 5G and biomedicine. TRT's senior correspondent Merih Yilmaz said Ankara sees the meeting as a chance to deepen an already strong China-Türkiye relationship, while also discussing the wars in Ukraine and Gaza and Turkey's role as a potential facilitator on Ukraine.
