Sonia, Priyanka slam Centre as NCR air worsens

With air quality continuing to deteriorate across the NCR, Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Thursday warned that children and the elderly are suffering the most from the worsening pollution and urged the Centre to act immediately.

She made the remarks as opposition parties staged a protest in Parliament over rising pollution levels. Sonia Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and several other senior leaders joined the demonstration.
