Shah: Cong distorted statement, slams 'nefarious efforts'

Asserting that the BJP has always tried to follow the principles of B.R. Ambedkar, Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday that he belongs to a party which can never insult the chief architect of the Constitution.

Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Amit Shah slammed Mallikarjun Kharge over remarks on his speech in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday and said the Congress chief should not have supported the "nefarious efforts" of his party.
Shah alleged that Kharge, who is from the Dalit community, had joined the effort under "pressure of Rahul Gandhi." The Union Minister alleged that the Congress is "anti-Ambedkar, anti-Constitution, anti-reservation" party.
