Sachin Pilot targets Centre, questions EC over SIR and transparency

At the India News Manch 2025, organised by the ITV Network, senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot launched a sharp attack on the central government and the Election Commission of India (ECI), alleging interference in constitutional institutions and demanding greater transparency in the electoral process.

The two-day political conclave, being held on December 16 and 17, has brought together key political voices from across the country.

Speaking on the India News platform, Sachin Pilot said that the Congress organised a massive rally in Delhi against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists to ensure oversight and accountability. He said lakhs of people gathered because voters are worried about whether their names exist on voter lists, whether their votes are being cast, and whether those votes are being counted fairly. “The right to vote is our biggest democratic trust, and transparency in the election process is essential,” he said.
