Rahul Gandhi seeks action in IPS officer's death

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday met the family of slain IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar in Chandigarh, calling his death a “tragedy” and urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to act against the accused officers and “end the drama.”
"The suicide of this IPS officer has sent a message to crores of Dalits that no matter how successful you are, you can be crushed and discarded," Gandhi said.
Accompanied by former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja, and Haryana Congress chief Rao Narendra Singh, Gandhi offered floral tributes to the late officer.
