Punjab agents buy silence of deportees with refund promise

Punjab Police suspects that travel agents responsible for illegally sending people to the US have persuaded deported individuals and their families to keep silence, promising to refund their money. This development emerged during questioning by police of several deportees who are now reluctant to take legal action or provide concrete details about the agents involved.

Interrogation of five youths from Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur revealed that they travelled to Dubai independently on valid visas but were then smuggled into the US through the illegal "donkey route."
