One-time settlement to clear land dues okayed by Punjab

In a bid to support local industrialists, the Punjab government has approved a one-time settlement (OTS) policy to facilitate the clearance of dues on industrial plots allotted before January 2020.
This move, expected to provide 200 crore in relief, aims to assist industrialists who struggled to pay their dues due to increased land costs.
The policy was approved during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday. Punjab Industries Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond and Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora, AAP's candidate for Ludhiana West, shared details after the meeting. Arora had earlier briefed the Chief Minister on the industrialists' demands.
