NARENDRA MODI: THE LEADER WHO RETURNED AYODDHA TO ITS GLORY
The Daily Guardian
|November 27, 2025
There are rare moments in history when a nation does not merely win a court case - it recovers its soul.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greets the people on the occasion of the Dhwajarohan Utsav at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya on Tuesday.
(ANI)
Ayodhya is that moment for Bharat. For thousands of years, stretching back 2,500 to 3,000 years and beyond, a grand Ram Mandir stood in Ayodhya. This was not a structure made only of stone or brick; it was made of faith, memory, ancestry and the collective heartbeat of a civilisation that worshipped Shri Ram not only as a deity but as an ideal, a way of life. The temple was the spiritual centre of Bharat, a place where generations found their identity.
THE DESTRUCTION & A WOUND THAT NEVER HEALED
In 1528, when Babur’s commander Mir Baqi destroyed the ancient Ram Mandir, something unspeakable broke within the people of Bharat. It was not simply a building that fell; it was home — the birthplace of their beloved Shri Ram, the cradle of their prayers, the symbol of their emotional inheritance. Every Hindu carried Ayodhya in his tears and in her devotion, in their stories, their lullabies, their mantras. And yet the invaders sought to erase this memory completely. But how can a civilisation forget its mother’s womb? How can anyone erase Ayodhya?
