The Daily Guardian
|May 10, 2024
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that her father did not inherit wealth and asserted that they have the courage to die for the country and if one member of the family is killed then another will stand up for the country.
-
Priyanka Gandhi, who is also party's general secretary and has been camping here for last five days made the comments while addressing the people here at a street corner meeting.
Discussing the inheritance law, she said, "They troubled our family. They threw Rahul Gandhi from Parliament and also got his house vacated. Modi ji even said a lot of things about our family. He labelled lot of accusations against a great leader like Indira Gandhi and dubbed her as traitor who laid her life for the country.
He even did not spare my father Rajiv Gandhi and called him a traitor and said a lot of wrong things. He alleged that Rajiv Gandhi ji changed the law to take the inheritance from Indira Gandhiji." "He (Modi) could not understand anything about our family. Modi ji, we have not inherited wealth but we have got the courage to die for the country," she thundered.
