Muslim woman can seek Khula without husband's nod: Telangana High Court

The Telangana High Court has affirmed that a Muslim woman has the absolute right to seek Khula (a divorce initiated by the wife in Islamic law) and that the husband has no legal right to deny this demand.

In a significant ruling, a division bench comprising Justice P. Sree Sudha Bhattacharya and Justice B. Madhusudhan Rao upheld a family court's decision granting divorce to a woman through Khula, despite her husband's objections.
