KTR challenges Revanth Reddy to prove 66% support claim in bypolls

BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday launched a blistering attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, challenging him to prove his claim of enjoying 66 per cent public support by making the ten defected BRS MLAs resign and seek a fresh mandate through by-elections.
Addressing a victory meeting of newly elected BRS sarpanches in Sircilla, KTR said the Chief Minister should test his popularity "in the court of the people" instead of making contradictory claims. He referred to Revanth Reddy's recent press conference in Hyderabad, where the CM initially claimed the Congress victory in local body elections reflected public approval of his government, only to later say that local polls were fought on local and caste-based issues, not governance.
