'JUNGLE RAJ' VS 'SUSHASAN': MODI, SHAH SET BIHAR POLL TONE

PM Modi and Amit Shah launched a fierce Bihar offensive, accusing RJD-Congress of reviving 'Jungle Raj' and blocking development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday launched coordinated attacks on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress during campaign rallies across Bihar, accusing the Opposition of promoting corruption, dynasty rule, and infiltration, while asserting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had delivered "su-shasan" and development in the state.

Addressing back-to-back rallies in Saharsa and Katihar, PM Modi said the RJD's legacy was one of "anti-development" and lawlessness, contrasting it with the NDA's record of infrastructure, welfare, and governance. “These days, even the RJD has been forced to make false claims about development. Otherwise, they have had a history of being anti-development. When people demanded roads, they said accidents would happen; when people asked for electricity, they said people would die of electrocution," Modi told the crowd in Katihar.

Lauding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for bringing good governance, Modi said, "Under Nitish Kumar's leadership, the NDA gave Bihar sushasan. It brought roads, Vande Bharat trains, and expressways. Where there was despair during Jungle Raj, good governance has brought new dreams and determination."
