HC allows rusticated JNU students to write exams

Jawaharlal Nehru University has suspended an academic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Turkiye's Inonu University, citing national security considerations, officials of the university here confirmed on Tuesday.
The Delhi High Court has directed Jawaharlal Nehru University to allow nine students rusticated on charges of sexual harassment to write their exams commencing Wednesday.
Justice Vikas Mahajan directed Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) not to take any coercive action against the students to vacate their hostels till May 28, when the matter would be heard next.
"Having regard to the submission of the counsel for the petitioners, more particularly to the fact that there is violation of principles of natural justice, the response-New Delhi:
The MoU was inked on February 3 for a period of three years. "We have suspended the MoU with Turkiye's Inonu University.
