Ghaziabad Bar Association moves Allahabad High Court seeking SIT probe into lathicharge Violence against lawyers

The Allahabad High Court in the case observed wherein the Ghaziabad Bar Association has moved seeking an SIT investigation, under the direct supervision of the High Court, into the recent lathi-charge violence against advocates in Ghaziabad Court.

Advocate Jawahir Yadav filed the criminal petition before the court wherein he prayed for the issuance of a show cause notice to the District Magistrate by exercising powers as stated under Article 215 of the Constitution of India.

The petition filed also includes restraining the respondents in order to take action against the members of the bar pursuant to an First Information Report, FIR lodged against them. The court in the case observed and has directed the Commissioner of Police to secure the CCTV footage of the district judge's court and the entire premises of Court and forward it to the SIT for effective investigation.
