Southern Rajasthan is often referred to as the land of Maa Sita. Blessed with thick forests, sacred rivers and rich tribal traditions, this region offers an experience where nature and divinity exist side by side. At its heart lies the famous Sita Mata Temple, nestled deep within the Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary, spread across the districts of Pratapgarh and Chittorgarh.

A JOURNEY THROUGH NATURE AND FAITH

Travelers can reach the temple from Pratapgarh via Gyaspur and Pal Panchayat. For those who love trekking, this route is a delight the trail takes you through whispering woods, sparkling streams, and glimpses of wildlife along the way. Another route passes through Chhoti Sadri and Badi Sadri via Munjwa, leading up to the Valmiki Ashram. This path can accommodate larger vehicles up to a point, after which begins the most beautiful part of the journey a serene walk through the forest. Here, nature embraces you completely. Along the way, you'll encounter several sacred sites Valmiki Ashram, the legendary twelve-Bigha Banyan Tree and the unique Hot and Cold Springs. Each stop along the trail tells its own story, echoing ancient legends and deep devotion.

PEACE BEYOND COMFORT

Visitors won't find luxury resorts or modern facilities here. But what they do find is far more precious peace, silence and the sense of being one with nature. Sitting by a waterfall, listening to the rustle of leaves and the songs of birds, one feels a calm that cities can never offer. The crystal-clear waters here reveal tiny fish and aquatic plants dancing below the surface; a sight that feels almost divine. Scattered along the trail are small, centuries-old shrines and ancient rock paintings, silent witnesses to history and faith.
