FLOOD THREAT LOOMS LARGE IN MANY DISTRICTS OF UP

Due to continuous heavy rains in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, the threat of floods is once again looming in UP.

More than 250 mm of rain was recorded in Barabanki and Bahraich in the last 24 hours. Due to this, Jamuria drain and Reth river overflowed in Barabanki on Tuesday also.
More than 7000 people are affected by the flood in Barabanki and about 4500 people have been shifted to relief camps. In Ayodhya too, due to disruption, schools were closed till class 8th. The National Assessment Test (NET) to be held in schools on Tuesday was postponed. Earlier, 23 people had died in the rain on Monday.
