Farmer leaders plan nationwide protests instead of march to Delhi

Urging the farmers of the country to get united for a fresh round of protests, the leaders associated with trade unions and Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) have made it clear that the farmers may hold country-wide protests for the pending demands of farmers including an act to guarantee Minimum Support Price.
However, the protest call evoked a lukewarm response as minor protests and road shows remained limited to some states, especially in Punjab, Haryana and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
