Fadnavis, Prasad Dismiss Opposition's 'Vote Theft' Charge

BJP leaders on Sunday launched sharp counterattacks against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD's Tejashwi Yadav over their repeated allegations of "vote theft" against the Election Commission of India (ECI), accusing them of misleading the public and undermining constitutional institutions.

Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, addressing a press conference in Patna, rejected the Opposition's charges as "false and baseless," questioning why the poll body was acceptable when they won but discredited when they lost. "In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party won 37 seats and BJP 33 under the same Election Commission. In Himachal and Telangana, they hailed the ECI when victorious. But when defeated in Maharashtra and Delhi, suddenly the Commission became faulty," Prasad said.
