DESPITE DMRC RULE CHANGE, METRO PASSENGERS CANNOT BRING ALCOHOL INTO HARYANA

A new rule that allows the carrying of two sealed liquor bottles while travelling on the Delhi Metro will not be applicable in Haryana.
Although the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) recently announced an exemption to its rule against carrying liquor on metro trains, people bringing liquor bottles from Uttar Pradesh or Delhi in the metro to Haryana will face police action. Only Excise Department regulations are applicable in Haryanathese rules disallow bringing liquor from other states into Haryana. If a person brings liquor from another state to Haryana, the Haryana Police will take legal action against them under the NDPS Act.
