Cops arrest 120 drug peddlers in citywide crackdown, seize cash and narcotics

In a sweeping citywide crackdown ahead of the festive season, the Delhi Police arrested 120 drug peddlers and seized a substantial quantity of narcotics along with over Rs21 lakh cash under ‘Operation Kavach-100,’ officials said on Monday.

The 24-hour coordinated operation, which began on September 20, spanned 2,008 locations across 15 districts and involved 1,140 police teams, including specialised units from the Crime Branch and Special Cell, according to officials.
During the drive, police registered 96 cases under the NDPS Act. The seizures included 158.9 grams of heroin, 40.2 kg of cannabis, 108 grams of cocaine, and Rs 21,08,400 in cash.
