Union Minister Amit Shah on Sunday came down heavily on the Congress and claimed that the opposition parties, including the grand old party, are "scared" of their vote bank and that is why they did not attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

'CONGRESS AFRAID OF VOTE BANK': AMIT SHAH

Addressing a public gathering here in Kaushambi, Pratapgarh district, Amit Shah said, "For 70 years, Congress, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) kept the Ram Temple subject stuck, hanging and wandering.

Then came along Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who won the Ayodhya Ram Temple case, performed the bhoomipujan, and then participated in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla, all in a span of five years."

"The Pran Pratishtha ceremony was about to take place and an invitation was sent to Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Dimple

Yadav, and Akhilesh Yadav, but none of them turned up for the ceremony because they (Opposition, including Congress) are afraid of their vote bank," said Shah.

But Shah said that the BJP is not scared of anyone.
