Cong backs Tejashwi, ending rift in Bihar Mahagathbandhan

CONTINUED FROM P1

Gehlot accused the NDA government of undermining democratic values and weaponising institutions, calling the coming election “a fight to save democracy.”

The decision effectively handed the leadership baton of the Mahagathbandhan to Tejashwi Yadav, who has been attempting to galvanise young and first-time voters under his “Rozgaar aur Samman” (Employment and Dignity) plank. Addressing the media after his endorsement, Tejashwi said the alliance’s goal was not merely to win power but to rebuild Bihar. “We, the people of Mahagathbandhan, do not just want to form a government. We want to make Bihar. Give us twenty months, and we will do what they couldn't in twenty years. One engine of the double-engine government is corrupt, the other criminal,” he said.

He accused the BJP of sidelining Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming that Amit Shah's repeated remark that legislators would decide the CM indicated that the JD(U) leader's political future was uncertain. “This will be Nitish Kumar's last election. The BJP has already decided to discard him after the results,” he said.

CHHATH: THE GRAND FESTIVAL OF SUPERNATURAL SIGNIFICANCE

At a time when the entire world stands on the brink of destruction, haunted by the terror of wars and the collapse of humanity; when terrorism, through its brutality upon innocent people, has created an atmosphere of fear and dread; when violence and injustice have become the hallmarks of our era and society; when the dignity of women and the innocence of children are under grave threat; when the purity of our thoughts is being corrupted, and the sacred mantra of human virtues seems to be fading away; when the stream of human relationships and compassion has begun to diminish — it is precisely then that the human spirit of resilience and profound hope continues to live on.
