BJP to target Cong in Haryana over Emergency
The Daily Guardian
|June 24, 2025
As per the programmes Chief Minister Nayab Saini will address a program in Karnal. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will speak in Faridabad.
The Haryana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a big statewide campaign to mark the 50th anniversary of the Emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on June 25, 1975.
With the state's top leaders involved, the move seems to be a full-blown political move to attack the Congress Party's past, reminding people of the state about the black days of emergency.
From an organizational point of view, the BJP has appointed at least two spokespersons in each of the 27 districts as the Chief Minister Nayab Saini has been assigned the responsibility of Karnal, while state party president Mohan Lal Badoli will lead in Panchkula. In Faridabad, Union Minister Manohar Lal will serve as the party's designated speaker.
