BJP outlines 20 big promises in Haryana Sankalp Patra
The Daily Guardian
|September 20, 2024
The BJP has unveiled its election manifesto for the October 5 Haryana Assembly elections, outlining 20 major promises, including cash benefits for women, cheaper LPG, two-wheelers for girl students and new job opportunities.
-
The ruling party's manifesto seems an attempt to counter the Congress party's 7 pledges with a strong focus on employment, women's welfare, and infrastructure development.
The BJP promises to provide 2,100 per month to women voters, along with creating 2 lakh government jobs and 5 lakh jobs in the private sector. The party has also promised to make LPG cylinders available for 500 under the Har Ghar Grihani Yojana and to build 5 lakh houses in both rural and urban areas.
The another key point in the manifesto is the guarantee of permanent jobs for ex-Agniveers (those who served in the Agnipath recruitment scheme of Indian Army) and the provision of 24 crops being procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers.
Additionally, BJP has promised to build 10 new industrial cities modelled after IMT Kharkhoda (Sonipat), with special incentives for entrepreneurs to hire local workers. Each industrial city is expected to create 50,000 jobs, furthering the party's focus on employment growth in Haryana.
Meanwhile, healthcare also features prominently in the manifesto. The BJP pledges free medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh per family under the ChirayuAyushman Yojana. Elderly citizens, above 70 years old, will receive an additional Rs 5 lakh for medical expenses. The party also aims to make dialysis and free diagnostic services available in all government hospitals.
