BHISHM: A new health initiative by Centre

Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita & Maitri is a comprehensive health initiative aimed at improving healthcare access and quality in India.

It focuses on fostering collaborative efforts and promoting community well-being through three core pillars - Cooperation, Well-being and Maitri. Through these focused areas, it strives to bridge gaps in healthcare services, promote healthier lifestyles, and build resilient communities across India. Under the broad umbrella of Project Aarogya Maitri, Government of India has created the BHISHM initiative, which provides the means to deliver all basic facilities and equipment for providing emergency medical care, in an easy to use and rapidly deployable manner.
