What might have anchored my heart so firmly to the idea of celebrating Holi in Pushkar? Perhaps it stems from the fact that Holi was the one festival I truly cherished as a child. Back then, it was a riot of colors, laughter, and pure joy. But as the years rolled on, those carefree celebrations faded into memories. Board and college exams took precedence, and later, life in a different city meant rushing back home, not so much to revel in the festival but simply to grasp its fleeting essence.

One day, I heard my Rajasthani friends reminiscing about Pushkar's Holi celebrations, calling it one of the most astounding experiences in India. Their words ignited something in me, and without a moment's hesitation, I decided—this was the year I would experience it for myself. I made up my mind to visit Rajasthan. Though I had never been to the state before, I'd always been enchanted by its vibrant culture and timeless charm. Excited by the idea, I turned to my roommate and asked if she'd like to join me. To my delight, she didn't think twice either. In no time, we were booking our tickets to Udaipur, ready for an adventure that promised to be unforgettable.
