Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday used the IBSA Leaders' Meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg to call for united, uncompromising global action against terrorism, warning that there can be "no room for double standards" at a time of heightened attacks.

He urged IBSA nations to institutionalise NSA-level meetings to strengthen security cooperation and stressed that coordinated, decisive action was essential for global peace.

Modi said IBSA connecting three continents and three major economies remained a vital platform for unity and shared aspirations in an increasingly fragmented world. He noted that the meeting came at a historic moment, marking four consecutive G20 presidencies led by countries of the Global South, including three by IBSA members. He called for collective efforts to build on initiatives relating to multilateral reform, sustainable development and human-centric growth.
