Amba Bagh Safari: Exploring the wild side of Jaipur

Amba Bagh Safari, located in the scenic Aravalli hills near Amer Fort in Jaipur, is one of the city's newest and most exciting eco-tourism destinations. While Jaipur is widely known for its royal palaces, historic forts, and vibrant culture, Amba Bagh Safari offers a refreshing and wild escape into nature. Just a few kilometers from the city center, this safari brings you close to the wilderness without leaving the boundaries of the Pink City.

Developed as part of Rajasthan's efforts to promote sustainable tourism and conservation, the safari provides an adventurous experience filled with wildlife, forest trails, and panoramic hill views.

The safari is located near Amer, close to Nahargarh Biological Park and Jal Mahal, making it part of a green corridor that runs through Jaipur's northern hills. It is about 10 kilometers from the heart of Jaipur and can be easily accessed by road. The journey to the safari gate itself is scenic, offering glimpses of the surrounding hills and forest.

Unlike the grand architecture of Amer Fort, Amba Bagh Safari immerses you in raw and rugged nature. The safari path winds through dense bushes, ancient granite hills, dried streams, and rocky clearings. This area, part of the ancient Aravalli range, has long been a natural habitat for leopards and other wildlife. Now it has been opened to tourists in a controlled and eco-friendly manner, with watchtowers, trails, and designated viewing areas developed by the forest department.
