Twice in a row, Afghanistan has showcased exceptional chasing skills. They achieved this feat against Pakistan a few days ago and now against Sri Lanka. In these two chases, they lost just 5 wickets and scored a total of 528 runs— an impressive performance.

Rashid Khan, who was playing his 100th ODI, is overjoyed as he celebrates victory with his teammates. The Afghan players are showing their appreciation to the crowd, receiving strong support from the fans at the stadium.
On a pitch favourable to batting, the target of 241 was never going to be sufficient. Although Sri Lanka dismissed Gurbaz in the opening over, the rest of the Afghan batsmen were not ready to give in. Only Ibrahim Zadran fell short of a half-century, but the trio—Rahmat Shah, Azmatullah, and Shahidi—all reached fifty, ensuring a smooth chase. Sri Lankan bowling had its moments, but unfortunately, they didn’t have a competitive total to put the required rate pressure on Afghanistan.”
