AAP MLA Maan withdraws resignation a day after quitting

In a dramatic turn of events, AAP MLA from Kharar Anmol Gagan Maan withdrew her resignation from the Punjab Assembly on Sunday, less than 24 hours after announcing her exit from active politics.

The reversal, prompted by a high-stakes intervention from AAP's Punjab leadership, has ignited a political storm, with the Opposition seizing the opportunity to highlight perceived instability within the ruling party.
The 35-year-old former minister and popular Punjabi singer had stunned political circles on Saturday with a heartfelt post on X in Punjabi, stating, "My heart is heavy, but I have decided to leave politics. I request the Speaker to accept my resignation."
Sources confirmed that Maan had submitted her resignation to Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan weeks earlier, citing personal and professional frustrations. However, intense negotiations, led by Punjab Cabinet Minister and AAP state president Aman Arora, culminated in a crucial meeting at Arora's residence on Sunday, where Maan was persuaded to stay.
In a post on X, Maan confirmed the reversal, stating, "Today, I had a meeting with our party president @amanarorasunam ji. The decision by @AamAadmiParty and @ArvindKejriwal ji to reject my resignation has been accepted."
