A Tale of Sublime and Supreme Sacrifice

A deeply riveting book, The Forgotten Champion, elegantly authored by Arbind Kumar Choudhary, contains the junction of 118 Indianised versions of Abindonean Sonnets in which the cultural heraldry of India in general and the adventurous journey of Veer Lachit Borphukan in particular has been depicted for the restoration of Indianness.

All these Indianised versions of Arbindonean Sonnets contain not only the cluster of the phrasal passages but also the rhymed verses ending with 'n'. As a wordsmith, the poet always plays with various forms of words and styles as if they were the sensitive zones of his beloved.

This is perhaps the only poetry book in which each stanza ends with the alphabet 'n'. The cluster of the five phrasal words—top grain, pick the Satan's brain, goods train, mountain train, and knave in grain—of the poem lays the foundation of the Phrasal Movement in Indian English poetry.
