Divisional Railway Manager of NorthEastern Railway Aditya Kumar on Friday said that around 800 railway personnel carried out the restoration work after the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed in Gonda.

“Around 800 railway personnel are carrying out restoration work and the work is likely to be completed by this evening. Trains are running on diverted routes. The upline will be repaired soon and trains will start arriving on it,” said Aditya Kumar. The CPRO of Northeast Railway, Pankaj Kumar Singh, said that train operations will start on the up-line soon. “The coaches that derailed on the down line have been removed...
