LINEAGE: GIMMIE RULES A FULL BROTHER TO GIMME A PRINCE AND THE REAL PRINCE

- Jack Milner

Zackey to rule in Guineas prep

WELL-CONNECTED. Gimmie Rules looks to be yet another star for Khaya Stables and trainer Dean Kannemeyer, and stands out as the best bet on tomorrow's Hollywoodbets Kenilworth card. Picture: Race Coast. Prince. Gimmie Rules has only run three times, winning on debut at HWB Scottsville in June and last time, despite hitting a hurdle, in the WSB River Plate at Durbanville.

(Race Coast. Prince)

There is no race meeting on the Highveld this weekend but there is some proper racing on show at the three meetings taking place - Fairview Polytrack today, Hollywoodbets Kenilworth tomorrow and on the turf at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday.

The Grade 1 Cape Fillies Guineas and Cape Guineas will be run on the first two Saturdays of December respectively, and we are starting to see the quality of what will be on offer for those two races.

One runner that looks sure to be staking his claim in the premier 1600m for three-year-olds is Dean Kannmeyer-trained Gimmie Rules. We often talk about royally bred horses but in South African terms it is hard to find bluer blood than a horse by Gimmethegreenlight out of Trippi mare Real Princess.
