Trevor too clever for rivals

FORM: DE KOCK-TRAINED COLT CAN GET BETTORS OFF TO A WINNING START AT TURFFONTEIN >>> Light-weighted Oriental Bouquet to provide good value.
Racing tomorrow takes place on the Standside track at Turffontein racecourse and I do believe I have some competitive rides on the nine-race card.
The headliner comes up in Race 9 and is a MR 100 Handicap over 1160m.
I have four rides on the day and I'll be doing my best to pick up a winner or two.
Race 1 is a Maiden Plate over 1160m and my best bet on the card comes up in the form of Clever Trevor.
He ran a lovely race on debut about two weeks ago and with any natural improvement, he will be a very hard horse to beat.
He should get favourite backers off to a great start.
Trip To Peace ran a far better race in his second start and a repeat of that will make him the biggest danger.
Watch the betting and canter past of the unraced horses because this will be your best guide to their chances.
Race 2 is a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1160m and once again keep an eye on betting and canter past of the unraced horses.
Of the raced runners, Quiet Winter looks like she will be a very tough filly to beat.
Although she is returning from a small break, her form stands out and she should be a banker in all bets.
Lost For Words returns from a very lengthy break after a debut run in which I rode her.
She did give me a good feel so if close to peak fitness, she can run into the money.
Race 3 is a Maiden Plate over 2000m and I like the look of progressive Future Success.
He has only had two runs so far and more improvement can be expected now that he is stepping up in trip.
On the evidence of his two runs, I believe he will appreciate the extra distance.
Filly Scarlett Heart comes in with a very light weight and she too will enjoy the step up in trip based on her previous efforts and rates the main danger.
Follow The Master is in good form and his winning turn can't be too far away, so he is another one that must go into all bets.

It feels silly to even suggest this, but based on the performances of the country's strong spin bowling contingent, Keshav Maharaj's place in the national Test team might be in danger.
