Spur suffers blow in GPS Food damages dispute

An arbitrator has found against Spur Corporation in a part award to the multi-million rand dispute between the multi-brand, JSE-listed restaurant franchisor and a South African subsidiary of the global GPS Food Group.
Spur Corporation advised its shareholders that the arbitrator had made a part award on Tuesday. The company's share price on the JSE declined by 1.05% to R37.60 per share from R38 per share just before the announcement after trading as high as R40.20 per share earlier in the day.
