Second Walmart store opens at Fourways

The second Walmart-branded store in South Africa will open to the public today at Fourways Mall. The opening coincides with Black Friday, following the “incredibly successful opening of the first Walmart store” at Hyprop’s Clearwater Mall the previous week.

The new Fourways store will operate under Walmart’s core philosophy of “every day low prices” (EDLP), promising customers confidence that they will consistently get the best possible price on the products they need.

Dries D’Hooghe, Massmart chief operations officer, confirmed the retailer's commitment to this promise.
