Ramaphosa is a let-down as SA president

SA is going nowhere slowly as the promises he made evaporate, writes Thabile Mange.

Cyril Ramaphosa rose quickly within the ANC ranks, became secretary-general and made a good impression on South Africans.

When he was elected president, the nation was looking forward to his presidency and had high hopes.

Ramaphosa is an excellent negotiator. He proved himself during the Convention for a Democratic South Africa negotiations. He's also done well as a businessman.

This gave the impression that he was also a good leader.
