Go gung-ho with McCain at Carlisle

Donald McCain's Galunggung can rediscover the winning touch in the racingtv.com Novices' Limited Handicap Chase at Carlisle today.

The nine-year-old has presumably had his problems given he did not make his competitive debut until he was seven, but he began to make up for lost time when winning two hurdle races and a novice handicap chase last spring.

He was disappointing on his reappearance at Haydock in November but has since finished third at Market Rasen, where he looked the likely winner until sprawling on landing at the second-last and was last seen pushing the improving Hombre De Guerra close at Ayr.

Galunggung looked to be getting his act together in the jumping department in Scotland and he should prove hard to beat with a clear round.
