Ferrie's Lion set to strike

Trainer Stuart Ferrie ended off the season with a bang when Gladatorian picked up the Grade 1 HKJC Champions Cup over 1800m and then started the season well enough on Sunday when well-backed Town Crier won Race 2, also at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
The run of good form can continue at the same venue today when Ferrie sends out Lions Eye in Race 5, a Class 5 Handicap over 1000m on the turf.
The five-year-old gelding is very well bred being one of the last sons of Silvano and from the manner in which he won his maiden from a wide draw one would have thought he would be on his way to regular success.
