Doyle seeks winning Valley debut
The Citizen
|November 05, 2025
One of world racing's leading female riders, Hollie Doyle, will begin her short-term contract in Hong Kong today at Happy Valley, where she takes seven rides across the nine-race fixture.
-
Doyle, 29, has five Hong Kong wins. She began riding in 2013, and since then has won 10 Group 1 races before becoming Great Britain's most successful female jockey by surpassing Hayley Turner with a 1,023rd British winner at Ascot in May 2025.
Doyle has participated five times in Happy Valley's Longines International Jockeys' Championship (IJC), finishing second twice and third once. She is known for associations with European Group 1 winners Nashwa, Bradsell, Glen Shiel and Trueshan.
"I've been very lucky to have been invited to the IJC previously, so I've had a good taste of Hong Kong racing," Doyle said.
"You have to adapt very quickly to the different jurisdictions. I'm lucky to have travelled the world and got used to doing that now, but obviously it's always very different here in Hong Kong - it's tactical, it's tight and sharp."
