This is it for the Lions. If they're to play in the quarterfinals for the first time they have to win their two remaining regular season United Rugby Championship matches, with bonus points, and then hope other results go their way.
Another URC campaign of ifs and buts is staring coach Ivan van Rooyen (above) and his team in the face if they don't make it - if that isn't the case already.
They're currently in 13th position on the points table with 35, thanks to their seven wins from 16 matches.
To make the top eight they're going to have to beat two Welsh teams, Scarlets and Ospreys, at Ellis Park this weekend and next week respectively, and hope sides such as Benetton, Munster, Edinburgh and Ulster slip up.
It's an unlikely scenario, but in sport anything can happen.
