Youngsters try out natural play park

A BRAND new natural play park has been officially opened in Gateshead.
Groundwork NE & Cumbria officially opened the play park on Friday, with a ribbon-cutting and launch ceremony being held at the Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre at Winlaton Mill.
Young VIP guests from Blaydon football and rugby clubs attended the launch celebrations to put the play park through its paces.
Live entertainment was provided, alongside craft activities and storytelling, as well as family games, activities and stalls.
