SOUTH Shields manager Ian Watson has challenged his players to ‘keep their standards high’ as they face a tough visit to Curzon Ashton.
The Mariners have been in exceptional form during the opening stages of their first season under Watson and go to the North West looking to preserve an unbeaten league record that now spans eight games.
Their impressive start was further boosted by last weekend's FA Cup second qualifying round win against Guiseley as a late Cain Sykes goal set up a home tie with Chorley in the next round.
