Three held after two-car smash

TRIO HURT IN CRASH WHICH SAW POLICE SWARM SCENE
THREE men were arrested after police swarmed the scene of a crash in South Tyneside.
Two vehicles were involved in a collision on Swinburne Street in Jarrow yesterday morning.
One of the vehicles overturned and collided with the Little Jems nursery building following the crash, which occurred at around 10.15am. One of the vehicles also reportedly left the area.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and three men in their 30s were transported to hospital for treatment - one with serious injuries. The road was cordoned off while investigations were carried out.
