This festive season promises a stellar line-up of comedy, drama, entertainment and documentaries - so get out the chocolates as NICOLA METHVEN reveals the best of the box

Exciting news for Ab Fab fans - Jennifer Saunders will star as Aunt Joan alongside Joanna Lumley in this festive outing.

In it, Amanda (Lucy Punch) and the family head to Aunt Joan's country house, but the plans change when Mal (Samuel Anderson) and Anne (Philippa Dunne) tag along and she struggles to recreate the magical Christmases she spent there as a child. Anne's in despair at being separated from her family and Felicity is increasingly irritated by her sister's constant high spirits. Meanwhile Mal sees a photo that seems to reveal a deep family secret...

ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL

It's 1945 and the first peacetime Christmas since the war ended. With Helen feeling under the weather, it's fallen on James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph) to take on the Darrowby Nativity play, pictured.
